How does cosmetic bonding work?
When you visit our Victoria dentists for a dental bonding appointment we will apply a tooth coloured composite resin onto the tooth in order to cover up small cracks or gaps.
The resin is then hardened, smoothed and polished to a natural looking shine.
Cosmetic bonding requires minimal or no use of drilling or anesthetic, and you can have several teeth bonded during a single session.
Dental bonding is also among the least expensive and least invasive ways to achieve a more even and bright smile!
Bonding can correct many cosmetic or functional dental problems, including stubborn stains, gaps between the teeth, or chipped or uneven teeth.
You should expect your dental bonding appointment to last between one to two hours, depending on the extent of the work being done.
Maintenance
After your cosmetic bonding session you will need a little time to get used to the new shape and size of your teeth, but it shouldn't take long for you to adjust. Dental bonds don't require any special care; all you have to do is brush and floss daily, as usual.
